The Ireland Branch was formed by a number of Liverpool supporters from the fan forum IrishKop. After initial discussion, and spreading the word through the aforementioned medium, word of mouth and email, the branch has to date gathered together over 200 members. The Ireland Branch will endeavour to spread information about the union throughout the country, and promote its goals and aims.
As of March 2011 the branch has officially been opened. It is planned to hold its inauguration meeting at the beginning of the 2011/2012 season (August/September 2011). As soon as a venue and date are arranged all members will be notified of such and receive a formal invite.
