Community Development

The Union want to engage the local community of Anfield including local schools, community groups and residents. We'd especially like to look at ways of improving the area of Anfield - offering opportunities to those forgotten by the club.

Our work throughout the last year saw us be in the running for the European Football Supporters Award. Details here.

In 2009 we have arranged free coaching camps, supported a local school with their activities (details here), and supported a street collection for the Rhys Jones Memorial Fund. All of this was acheived only with help of Spirit of Shankly members who kindly donated their time and expertise.

We aim to continue and further our community activities in 2010. If you would like to help out with our community work or have any other queries about what we do, then please contact our community officer at community@spiritofshankly.com
