Liverpool FC New York Supporters Club

Liverpool FC New York Supporters Club played an entertaining charity match with Glasgow Rangers New York Supporters Club at Pier 40’s football field. The match was 2-2 at the end of normal time. Rangers created couple of good chances, but Liverpool goalie Steve put a good performance and kept the Gers at bay. Liverpool players were not clinical enough in the final third and missed many good scoring opportunities. Steve proved hero for the reds in penalties as the Rangers player put the ball over the bar and Steve saved the other to win the match for mighty reds. All proceeds are going towards sponsoring youth teams for a local soccer league set up for underprivileged children in the New York area. More information can be found at www.dusc.net.
