Direct Action at Sunderland Game

Spirit Of Shankly are looking for volunteers to assist us this weekend as part of the ongoing "Tom and George - Not Welcome Here" campaign. As at previous games, Spirit Of Shankly will be distributing leaflets around Anfield, giving information on the current state of the club and the problems faced under Tom Hicks and George Gillett's ownership. If you are able to assist with distributing the leaflets, can you please email Kyle at directaction@spiritofshankly.com, to confirm you are available. We will be meeting at 2pm at the Hillsborough Justice Campaign Shop (opposite The Albert) on Walton Breck Road.

As part of the ongoing campaign, we have recently asked for more banners to be produced and taken to Anfield to be displayed by fans, with the message that Tom Hicks and George Gillett aren't welcome at Anfield. We will have a number of banners to be displayed on Sunday, what we need are volunteers in all parts of the ground to hold them up. If you are able to take a banner into the ground and display it, can you please get in touch, or meet us on Sunday to arrange this. We would urge more fans to make banners if they can, and if they need any advice or help in producing banners, or will be willing to display one of our banners, please let Kyle know as soon as possible at directaction@spiritofshankly.com.

As yet, we are not aware that Tom Hicks and George Gillett are attending Sunday's game. As it stands, we will be holding a 'Stay behind' protest, to make our feelings and views known. If this changes due to Tom Hicks and George Gillett attending, we will let people know immediately.
