The socialism I believe in is everyone working for each other, everyone having a share of the rewards. It's the way I see football, the way I see life. - Bill Shankly

The Spirit of Shankly are pleased to announce that the first three Union branches have been established.
The branches reflect the broad type of support the Union enjoys with branches established in London, Sweden and also a "virtual" branch based around the LFC supporters' website Scouser Tommy.
When asked about the point of a branch, London Branch Acting Chair Chris O'Dea responded “Passion and Pride is what has brought us together. It is a shame that our club’s owners and their puppets have neither. It is our duty to introduce them to these concepts.” The London Branch inaugural meeting at the beginning of July saw over 100 people attend.
Joackim Lundberg, founder of the Sweden Branch said "I have together with some other supporters started a Sweden Branch, I hope that more countries and cities are following us. We have 69 members"
Scouser Tommy Branch Chair Kevin Reavey commented "As an online community the Scouser Tommy Branch brings together Reds fans from all over the world, which reflects not only the scale of our club's support, but also how far the real concern over its current state and future direction has reached. The club is at a crossroads and, if we want to safeguard its future, we supporters must unite behind a common cause and speak with one voice."
The Union has had enquiries from over 20 other areas of the country and world seeking information about opening Spirit of Shankly Branches - hopefully many of these will open soon encouraging greater democracy within the Union and a growth in membership as well.
If you wish to look at starting a branch please email secretary@spiritofshankly.com who can provide some background information and guidance.
