ShareLiverpool Proposal - Supported by SOS

Friday 24th July 2009

Spirit Of Shankly, the Liverpool Supporters Union, has recently been in discussion with ShareLiverpool regarding the opportunity for fan ownership of Liverpool Football Club. Fan ownership is the ultimate aim for the Union, and the Union has vowed it will always hold those running the club to account, regardless of who that may be. Our discussions with ShareLiverpool and its board, the only organisation at present able to bring about fan ownership, has allowed us to give our views and ensure the proposal for fan ownership is as fair and representative of all fans as possible.

At this stage, the proposal requires the support of the fan base before it can be considered a reality. The present ownership of the football club is only holding back the development of Liverpool Football Club. A fresh start, with fans at the helm, would be something we previously could only dream of. This proposal could help that become a reality.

Below are the details of ShareLiverpool's proposal -
