SOS Stadium Survey

The LFC Stadium issue has been in the news recently with developments announced by the Council regarding their regeneration plans for the area surrounding the stadium and John Henry's recent comments regarding the stadium challenge.
Martin Broughton stated in 2010 "We want to do the right thing for Liverpool and a new stadium is doing the right thing. It will add long-term value to the club and if we are looking for a new owner, that is something they will have to accept."
We find ourselves, however, in a very different situation with John Henry
recently explaining “While a new stadium or an expansion of
Anfield is beneficial over the long-term for the club, the financial impact of adding seats and amenities should be put into perspective."
Since our last
statement on The Football Quarter Spirit of
Shankly has had
dialogue with senior council officials and residents groups amongst other interested parties. This communication has enabled us to promote The Football Quarter prospectus including seeing it gain recognition as a "Visitor Economy Network".
Liverpool City Council has recently presented
proposals to
Anfield residents and as consultation continues, The Football Quarter have been invited to contribute to the discussions on the North Liverpool Strategic Regeneration Framework.
Spirit of Shankly is committed to representing the views of our members and we are therefore asking members to complete a short survey. We will use the survey results to inform policy and strategy with regard to the stadium and our involvement in The Football Quarter.
