Supporter Representation on Safety Advisory Group

Liverpool City Council operate a Ground Safety Advisory Group. This group discuss, and are consulted about, issues concerning supporter safety and the organisation and arrangement for football matches within the Council's area of responsibility.

Following involvement in discussions abour recent matches versus Everton, the Council have made the decision that supporter organisations should be represented and heard within this forum and have invited the Spirit of Shankly to nominate a representative to sit upon the Group at its meetings.
The Union have nominated a Committee member to attend the Advisory Group meetings and look forward to hearing from members and supporters generally about this crucial issue. Please email with any issues you wish to raise or as and when they arise.
We would also like to place on record our thanks to Amanda Jacks, caseworker at the Football Supporters Federation, who has supported us in dealings with the police and local authorities on issues affecting supporters and advocates supporter involvement, from organisations like Spirit Of Shankly, on Ground Safety Advisory Groups.
This represents a further recognition of the Union’s work in representing supporters and underlines again why fans should join and be represented by the Spirit of Shankly - Join Here
